I strive to provide personalized care in aiding my patients’ vision, as well as monitoring and treating the health of their eyes. In my free time, I enjoy gardening, reading, fitness, and spending time with my husband and daughter.” – Dr. G

Dr. Laura Gudenkauf grew up in Tucson, and graduated with honors from the University of Arizona in 2010. She and her husband then moved to Columbus, where they both attended graduate programs at the Ohio State University. Upon receiving her doctorate of optometry at the top of her class in 2014, she and her husband were happy to return to their hometown.

Since then, Dr. Gudenkauf has endeavored to provide top-notch eye care in Tucson. In addition to comprehensive primary eye care, her clinical areas of focus include dry eye, glaucoma, macular degeneration, diabetic evaluations, and specialty contact lenses. Dr. Gudenkauf especially enjoys fitting scleral contact lenses for patients with conditions such as: keratoconus, corneal scarring, corneal ectasia due to refractive surgeries (such as RK), and severe dry eye disease. She was honored to receive the 2014 GP Contact Lens Clinical Excellence Award from OSU for her work fitting patients with keratoconus in corneal GP lenses and scleral lenses.
